Dear Ms Miller,

After I graduate high school, I will study English and American Studies. Therefore, I believe a stay in Australia would be a great benefit.
I find your program particularly interesting because you offer your applicants an Invitation to get involved in their future Australian host community.
I could imagine helping organize local sports events or training a girls‘ soccer team as I have been a trainer in my local soccer club here in Germany for more than two years. I love working with children, primarily through sporting activities, so I would like to support the host community in that part. Of course, I would like to teach or help other students interested in learning German. Furthermore, I am also curious and open to any other suggestions like working on environmental or social projects.
I would describe myself as an open-minded, friendly, ambitious, and sociable person. I am always willing to cooperate and learn something new, especially when I come to a new environment.
A stay in Australia would be an excellent experience for me. For this reason, I would appreciate it if you considered my application for your scholarship program.

Tourism in the 21st century
Hello everyone, I came across this information, "Australia welcomed 9.1 million visitors between August 2017 and August 2018, a 5.5 per cent increase over the previous 12 months."
This information got me thinking about the impact of many such tourists on the country.
On the one hand, the revenue generated by tourism can benefit both private and public enterprises. This profit can be used, especially by public companies, to make long-term investments, such as improving infrastructures or expanding other public institutions, which can benefit an entire region. It also means that tourism can create new jobs and businesses, which can positively impact the general economy.
Furthermore, tourism fosters international connections, either by creating new business relationships or connecting people from different cultures.
On the other hand, tourism also has its disadvantages. Regions that make their money only from tourism are also dependent on it, creating a significant risk of loss and economic damage. The Corona pandemic, for example, showed us how a lack of tourism could destroy a country's economy if tourists could not come. This dependence also means that most tourism jobs are relatively low-skilled, and these jobs may be subject to drastic seasonal fluctuations. Furthermore, tourism can often cause damage to the environment through pollution, long flights, or the destruction of nature.
It causes pristine places to lose their uniqueness, as large tourist groups occupy such places, leaving behind their garbage and not taking enough care of their environment. That this respect is not by some tourists towards cultures and nature is, in my opinion, a big problem when the number of tourists increases.
Here we must start to be more aware, leave places their uniqueness, treat cultures and nature with respect, and support people dependent on tourism.
Only then will we be able to travel the world and see it in its beauty.
