a)
Heroine in fiction - Heroine in real life
The comic represents two women side by side, illustrating the concept of the heroine in fiction and in real life.
Describing the cartoon
The woman on the left side is portrayed in a heroic context. She is wearing a cape and a superhero costume which is symbolizing the iconic heroic character found in comics and movies. She stands for the idea of a heroine who possesses extraordinary powers or skills to overcome difficulties and protect others. She is also carrying a huge amount of water only with one hand, to put the fire out.
The second woman is portrayed in a real-life context. She is wearing everyday clothes and carrying two buckets full of water and seems very exhausted. She represents real-life heroines who make a difference through hard work and to their profession or cause.
Comparing the two women
To sum up, the cartoon highlights the contrast between a fictional superheroine and a real-life "heroine", who are representing different forms of heroism. As far as I am concerned, I admire real-life heroines who make a positive impact in their communities through their actions. They inspire me to do good and contribute to society.
